Once a quote is approved, we send out our detailed questionnaire which gives us an idea of what you want to achieve with your website, what styles appeal to you and what your business is all about.

From your answers, we create a unique, custom design proposal of the main page layout, using any imagery you have sent through allow with any current branding. Once the design proposal has been discussed and agreed-upon (this may take a few revisions), the site framework is developed and coded, ready to add content.

After receiving the content you want for the initial site, we create and format the site’s home page and up to five sub-pages (if required).

Before launch, we check on all the website vitals (speed, SEO, security) before asking you to view the site and confirm that the site is ready to go. Nothing is launched until you are 100% happy with the results.

A content management system (CMS) is a tool that assists you to easily maintain and update a website, without using any code at all.

You simply log on to your website, access the page you need to change (or create a new one) and make the changes or additions you need. The interface is almost as easy as using Microsoft Word – in fact, we can teach you how to use it in less than an hour!

The CMS we use for all of our websites is the very popular WordPress framework – a system that is estimated to have been used in up to 25% of all internet websites. It is a highly adaptable system, which is why we love it, and can grow in functionality as your business does.

Simply put, SEO is the process of improving and adjusting your site to increase its visibility on search engines such as Google. A site that is more visible in search results is more likely to gain attention from prospective and existing customers.

A website package from Tropical Coast Web Design covers the basics of SEO for your site – submission to Google, site maps, page and site optimisation tools. We’ll also provide you with tips that will help you further improve your search rankings through your industry connections and social media profiles.

Your website package comes with five email address and 5Gb of storage. We can certainly provide more addresses (and storage) for your business if you need them – please contact our team for more information.

Site security is a necessity for all site owners. Even your site doesn’t handle customer information like credit cards or email address, hackers can still attempt to “break” into your site and hijack it for their own purposes, whatever that may be.

A site security certificate, also known as Secure Socket Layering (SSL) protection, creates a secure connection between the site visitor’s browser and the server of the website by encrypting any information passing between the two – making it hard to intercept or interpret. The use of a SSL certificate appears as a green padlock in the address bar of your browser – a sure-fire sign that a security certificate is at work .

All our sites are protected by the Let’s Encrypt security certificate and further protection is also provided by the installation of the WordFence security plugin which includes a firewall and various other tools to guard against brute force attacks on the site.

Unless you are opting for our support package, the only ongoing cost each year is the annual server/domain renewal of $99.00 (included for the first year).

The annual renewal does not apply for self-hosted websites.
